ABOUT THE OWNER

Donovan Burns is the founder and lead instructor of Vintage Pacific Aviator, a premiere veteran-owned flight training company that fuses the precision of military aviation, the discipline of airline operations and the freedom of general aviation. His love of flying began at an early age and has guided a remarkable aviation career spanning continents, commands and cockpits.

A graduate of Hampton University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Donovan has cultivated a deep, lifelong commitment to flight. He currently serves as a B-737 Captain and Line Check Pilot for a major international legacy airline. Additionally, he holds the designation of FAA Designated Pilot Examiner, entrusted with certifying the next generation of pilots.

His military service is distinguished by three instructor tours across the U.S. Navy, the New Zealand Royal Air Force and the United States Coast Guard, including service as a Military Formation Aerobatic Display Team pilot.
